Frederik Bagger Copenhagen
Frederik Bagger was established in 2014. Today, the company's more than 450 exclusive products are sold in over 500 stores in the Nordic region, and independent digital businesses have been established in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Germany.
Our crystal glass, particularly known for its ability to withstand extreme temperature fluctuations, dishwasher safety, and a guarantee against glass corrosion, is our major trademark.
Frederik Bagger's vision is to create the traditions of the future by continuously challenging a traditionally heavy industry through innovative and modern solutions of the highest quality. Solutions that acknowledge the heritage and the significant work that has preceded, while fearlessly venturing into new paths.
30 Years of Design History
A New Generation Forges Its Own Path
Frederik is the son of the Danish design icon Erik Bagger, who, with his own design company, provided designs for stores and restaurants at the Museum of Modern Art, MOMA, in New York.
From the age of 2, Frederik Bagger has been involved when his father works on his designs, including the Grand Cru series in collaboration with Rosendahl, which today ranks among the most iconic Danish designs.
Frederik has designed the Adda collection, which is a tribute to his daughter, who is also captivated by the art of design.
World-Class Quality
Frederik Bagger shares the thoughts behind the distinctive glasses.
Presence in 250 Stores
The initial inspiration came from an old whisky glass, which Frederik Bagger found in a bar in New Zealand. From that spark emerged a far more elaborate vision of how to fit such a high-end product into our everyday lives. A demanding task, both in terms of design and choice of materials. The glass should be able to withstand the dishwasher as well as both very high and very low temperatures.
Traditionally, lead has been a key component in crystal glasses, but it constitutes a potential health hazard as well as being environmentally challenging.
That is the reason why Frederik Bagger decided to work in Crystaline, which is more expensive but completely free of lead while maintaining the iconic clarity of crystal.
As a clearer understanding of the demand emerged, Frederik Bagger set a highly ambitious goal of being present in 250 retail stores before the end of 2015. That was
accomplished, while the company’s first website
was launched.
Growth and Development
Crispy Lowball and Crispy Highball hit the stores and the webshop towards the end of 2015 and receive a very warm welcome from the costumers.
Staying Power in colors
Frederik Bagger’s products continue to extend their reach, aided by successful marketing, appreciative media exposure providing Frederik with the opportunity to share the vision behind the products, and, more than anything, the products
themselves.
A strong palette of
colors underline that the products are new and significantly different. Not the crystal glasses of your grandparents’ table but innovative and noteworthy products, which adds to, strengthens, and further develops a strong, beautiful tradition.
The colors challenge
yet clearly strikes a chord with a younger generation who which to lay a beautiful table, which is something other and more than a tribute to what once was.
To the existing portfolio, stylish porcelain is now added. A logical next step, which is warmly
welcomed by Frederik Bagger’s patrons. Crystal and porcelain go well together.

JANUARY 2018
Consolidation and Exposure
Crispy Eightball comes to life. A technically ambitious production that meets broad recognition and significant commercial success.
At the same time, the company is evolving so rapidly that external capital is needed to support the growth and realize the many opportunities that arise.
Karsten Ree som medejer
Ree Holding er fagligt og værdimæssigt det rigtige valg og sidder fra 2018 med ved bordet, når de vigtige beslutninger skal træffes.
Red Cross Collaboration
The Red Cross invites Frederik Bagger to be an ambassador for the Red Cross Club 10.
In 2019, Frederik Bagger designed, among other things, a beautiful pink water glass that was sold throughout the country.
Today, Frederik Bagger is a part of the Red Cross Club 100.
AUGUST 2019
Behind the Design
The Danes have now
made Frederik Bagger more of a household name, which naturally leads to an interest in the person behind the design. This interest leads to Frederik participating in the "TV-show Kender du typen?" just as his daughter, Adda, has been born.
Earlier in the year, Crispy Gatsby has been launched, a full two years after the design was ready. It’s been worth the wait. The inspiration from The Roaring Twenties is prominent and popular, and the glass is very well received.
2019 is also the year
when Frederik Bagger moves into the beautiful property Grønnegade 36, Copenhagen after a thorough modernization and remodeling in accordance with the values and
aesthetics of the brand.
Administration and concept store in one, very charming building paying homage both to the traditions and to the future.
Pop-up Shop i Oslo
Frederik Bagger also establishes a series of exciting collaborations. Out of nowhere the brand suddenly pops up on one of Oslo’s most exclusive locations in an unconventional partnership with high-end Norwegian lifestyleblogger, Camilla Pihl.
Scale and Focus
Thought Through
Corona provides Frederik
Bagger and the company with a much-needed opportunity to evaluate and strengthen the product portfolio. Demand continues to grow, and the desire to set a beautiful table is in no way diminished by isolation and time spent at home.
Time is also spent on strengthening the company’s focus on sustainability and recycling. Since the glasses are produced without lead, the company is already in a favorable position, but water used in the production is also recycled along with packaging materials. Production predominantly takes place in Europe, and
cardboard and paper are used for wrapping rather than plastic.
Eksklusive Gin Collaboration
In 2020, a significant collaboration between Glacier Gin, led by Rúrik Gíslason, and Frederik Bagger is launched. The campaign film is shot in Iceland, where the products are also sold.
Adda Collection
The Adda-collection, named after Frederik’s daughter, is launched early in 2021 and has been almost two years in the making. The glasses are blown by mouth, of premium quality and
extraordinarily thin. This corresponds perfectly with demand, but it is technically a very significant challenge, which makes it quite a joyful occasion, when the glasses meet the very high expectations.
Frederik Bagger also successfully launches web shops in Sweden, Norway and Germany. At the same time, partnerships with new interior chain stores such as Tilbords from Norway, are launched.
Film and Michelin stars
It is not always a coincidence, when Frederik Bagger’s products are seen on national television, at major live events or in the daily evening news show, Aftenshowet. It is also very likely that you will recognize our crystal or porcelain in various film productions.
If you care about good food, it is also quite possible that you will come across our products, since
we collaborate with the majority of Danish and a lot of Scandinavian
Michelin-restaurants. For us, these partnerships are quite logical, as we share a high level of professional ambition.
